Emma Corrigan is a northern woman. She\u2019s been called a human dustbin in print, knows how to direct a musical and can knit. A charity sector professional for over 15 years, she specialises in Governance, Policy and Grant Management. She currently does this for BBC Children in Need. She\u2019s hit level 34 in Pokemon Go.<\/p>\n

Mikel Horl<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cFollowing the Goose: Sense, Nonsense, Responsibility\u00a0and Action\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Mikel Horl is a graphic artist, writer, designer, publisher and educator. His art objects, exhibited and stocked around the world since 1982, include elements of play, chance and consequence. The invention of characters and the setting of scenes enable the imagination to be extended. Working beyond conventional book formats projects are now realised in extended forms of media.<\/p>\n

Mikel is co-founder the Angels of Georges Braque (AgB) graphic arts collective; and (with Pete Nevin) the Parliament of Social Design. He\u00a0established the MA Future Design and the Digital Arts and Design Academy at Teesside University in 2008 and continues to co-ordinate Art and Design postgraduate study. Current works include \u201cHorl\u2019s Celestial Bestiary\u201d, a set of images printed in Spain, and \u201cInternational Game of the Goose\u201d, a realisation of an ancient board game in the form of a participatory public event \u2013 a physical game played in an urban environment.<\/p>\n

Katie Piatt<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cEveryday Play\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

As e-Learning Manager at the University of Brighton,\u00a0Katie\u00a0combines her love of play, technology and education, creating and supporting new approaches to teaching. She works locally and nationally to integrate playful elements into adult learning contexts; projects have included alternate reality games for student induction, the NeverEnding Uni Quiz, \u00a0gaming the Future of Technology in Education (FOTE) conference, and developing InfoBadges\u00a0for recognising student information skills. Katie is a founder member of the ALT Playful Learning Special Interest Group, happy to playtest educational activities and most likely to be found in the role of playmaker, keeping everyone on their toes.
